The ACE Hardware store in Butler has been sold to an employee-owned company out of Kentucky.
On Thursday, Houchens Food Group, Inc, announced they purchased the Hardware store located in the Greater Butler Mart from Mary and Mike Waggoner and Cameron and Amy Bodamer.
HFG owns six ACE’s located in Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, and now Pennsylvania. They also own over 400 grocery stores across 15 states, along with several fast food franchises.
The 100 percent employee-owned corporation does intend to maintain the store as an ACE Hardware.
In a released statement, HFG President Greg Rush said he looks forward to “supporting the team and continuing to meet the needs of customers in Butler.”
