A Tennessee man is facing charges in Concord Township after allegedly hitting a child with autism with a shower head.
The child’s mother reported to state police that her ex-boyfriend, 50-year-old Marlin Bailey, hit the child with a shower head last August while she was at work. When the mother returned she saw bruising on the child.
When police conducted a forensic interview with the child in February, no statement was given due to the child being autistic and non-verbal.
Bailey has been charged with simple assault and endangering the welfare of children.
He’s awaiting a preliminary arraignment.
