Students in the Seneca Valley School District are teaming up for an event to celebrate those with special abilities while also raising money for a non-profit organization focused on inclusion.
The 3rd annual Seneca Valley School District Best Buddies Walk is scheduled for Saturday at North Boundary Park in Cranberry Township. Registration begins at 9 a.m. with the walk starting at 10:45.
Participants will be able to enjoy music, games, face painting, crafts, gift basket raffles, and special performances by the Seneca Valley Unified Bocce Team and SV Cheerleaders. Haine Elementary launched their Best Buddies chapter in 2023 followed by the Middle School last year.
Registration is $10 and today is the final day to sign up. Proceeds from the event will support the Best Buddies International mission of creating inclusive friendships.
