A Chicora man has been placed in the Butler County Prison after shoving an officer during a traffic stop in Chicora Borough this weekend.
The incident happened around 2 a.m. Saturday, when State Police pulled over 21-year-old Zaine Karenbauer for a traffic violation.
Police say Karenbauer was acting erratically during the stop, which led to another officer physically removing him from the vehicle. Once out of the car, Karenbauer allegedly shoved a state trooper twice before force was used to take him into custody.
No injuries were reported by the officer in charging documents.
Karenbauer was charges with assault of a law enforcement officer, disorderly conduct, and harassment.
His bail was set at $50,000 and a preliminary hearing was scheduled for June 23.
