The City of Butler has teamed up with a local organization to help out kids and families in need.
Breakthrough Butler’s Parks and Plates program kicked off earlier this week and continues through August 14th.
Kids ages 18 and younger will be able to eat lunch for free as well as participate in games and activities at Butler City parks.
Today (Wednesday) families are encouraged to stop by at Memorial Park from 11:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. or Rotary Park from 2 to 4:15 p.m.
This program is also offered at the Christie Avenue playground on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Father Marinaro Park Mondays and Thursdays, and Institute Hill playground Tuesdays and Fridays.
Visit the Breakthrough Butler website for a full schedule or more information.
