The Karns City School District has passed their 2026-27 budget earlier this week and did not raise taxes.
The school board passed a budget of $27 million, which is slightly higher than last year due to contractual employee wages, rising contracted services and operational expenses, and increased inflation.
The millage rate will remain at 107.42 mills for Butler County, 34.45 mills for Armstrong County, but Clarion had a change in mills due to a county reassessment but it will not bring in any additional tax revenue.
