Local young people are invited to participate in Summer Camps beginning this week at Jennings Environmental Education Center.
“Creepy, Crawly, Cool!” for kids ages 8 to 12 is being offered Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon at the Center in Slippery Rock.
Attendees will learn about misunderstood plants and animals that often have a bad reputation through hands-on activities and games. Additional sessions will take place weekly through August plus a summer nature day camp for ages 4 to 7 takes place on Tuesdays.
The cost of the program is $5 per session and pre-registration is required through the DCNR Calendar of Events website.
