The Office of Attorney General put out a response on Friday regarding the settlement for security enhancements after the firebombing attempt on Governor Shapiro’s home.
Concerns of security were raised after the attack on the Governor’s mansion in April of last year.
Attorney General Dave Sunday said he condemns all acts of political violence. But, adds this settlement is not based on the need for security upgrades, but rather settling a past contract with a contractor who did work for the agency.
Sunday also highlighted the need to update laws to address issues of threats against public officials.
