Those interested in enjoying nature and learning the basics of tree identification are invited to an event later this week at Moraine State Park.
On Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. DCNR staff will lead participants on an educational “Trees of the Revolution” walk through the Five Points Trail on the North Shore.
During the activity, participants of all ages can learn more about how to identify a variety of trees as well as their many uses through American history.
Visitors are instructed to dress for the weather and wear sturdy footwear. Park staff also recommends that participants bring a drink and snack.
