Lorraine L. Gallagher, 61, of Butler passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. She was born in Butler on July 28, 1964, to the late Thomas McCommon and Pauline (John) Manning. Lorraine graduated from Butler High School and was employed as a waitress.
Lorraine loved elephants and in her free time, she enjoyed fishing and crocheting. She was known for being extremely devoted to her family.
Lorraine was the beloved wife of Edward Gallagher, whom she married on October 11, 2008; sister of Beth, Patrick (Shelly), Becky and Denise (Diana) Manning, Pollie (Chris) Fife-Robinson, Tom (Laurel) and Marty McCommon, Joan Roddy and Rich (Cheryl) Nagy; aunt of Trina Wideman, Regis “RJ” (Stevie), James (Madi), CheyAnne and Amanda Manning, Kimberly (Lance) Becker, Liegh (Thaddeus) Fry, Daniel and David Gould, Victoria (Ricky) Smith, David FaJohn, Kristen and Raymond Gonzalez, Shane and Zachary Fife, Erica (Mark) Conner, Courtney (Jake) Sweeny, Allison (Jim) Garrettson, Jake (Sydney) Stoner, Lauren and Jared (Katie) Rittle; sister-in-law of Cindy (Todd) Rittle, Dave (Marcy) Gallagher and Cheri (Rodger) Stoner. Lorraine is also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews. She is forever loved by Barbara and Edward Gallagher Jr.
Along with her parents, who greeted her in Heaven, Lorraine was preceded in death by her father, Thomas McCommon; siblings, Tommy Smith, Daniel Manning, Paul Nagy and Mike McCommon; nephews, James “Jimmy” Harvey and Joshua Manning; and her brother-in-law, Travis Fife. She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, aunts and uncles.
