Donald A. “Donnie” Rummel

Donald A. “Donnie” Rummel, 76, of Meridian, passed away at home on March 28, 2026.
Born in Butler on Aug. 3, 1949, he was the son of Donald V. and Barbara Rummel.
Donnie graduated from Butler High School in 1967 and served in the U.S. Army. Following his military service, he worked for PennDOT until his retirement.
He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast.
Donnie is survived by his son, Chance Rummel and his wife, Megan; his daughter, Shira Whatley and her husband, Jared; his sister and her family; and his six grandchildren.
Friends will be received in the Martin Funeral Home South Side, 429 Center Ave., Butler, on Saturday, Aug. 1, from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
Services will immediately follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. Jim Lewis officiating.
Private burial will take place in North Point Cemetery, Indiana County.
