One woman was taken to the hospital after trying to put out an oven fire yesterday.
The call came into the Butler County 911 Center around 4 p.m. for a minor kitchen fire at a home in the 100 block of Spooner Drive in Butler.
Dispatchers say a young girl called and said her grandmother injured her head while trying to put out an oven fire. At the time of the call, the woman was not alert.
Crews got on scene and found smoky conditions inside, but no active fire. The oven was turned off and they began to ventilate the home.
The grandmother was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for her injuries.
