Senate lawmakers in Harrisburg have introduced legislation they say will modernize and strengthen how voter rolls are kept up to date.
The legislation would expand the sources of data available to counties to help identify and remove old or outdated information.
Senate Bill 1429, received input from election officials, legal experts, county leaders, and other stakeholders before being introduced, according to the bill’s memo.
The bill has been introduced in the State Government Senate Committee which includes seven Republicans and four Democrats.
