Joey Logano won the Nascar Cup Series race at Richmond Saturday night. It was his 39th career victory, but first at the track in nine years. Logano struggled through mid-season, falling as low as 20th in the point standings. He has now won two of the last four races, and surged to ninth in the point standings.
Two races remain before the “Chase” playoff featuring 16 drivers. Next up is New Hampshire Motor Speedway Sunday afternoon. The “Chase” field will be set after the Saturday night race at Daytona August 29th.
