Community members are encouraged to help a critically low blood supply through participation in upcoming blood drives.
The American Red Cross drive is taking place today from 12:30 to 6 p.m. at Herman Volunteer Fire Company.
Everyone who donates blood in August will receive a $20 Amazon Gift Card by email.
Anyone able to donate should make an appointment through the website of the American Red Cross, the Red Cross Blood Donor App, or by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS.
