A new mosaic was officially unveiled in downtown Butler over the weekend.
A special ceremony was held Friday night outside of the Penn Theater to unveil the new artwork, which is mounted on the side of the longtime theater.
Work on the mosaic started during the Steeples and Stacks event in July. Anywhere from 150 to 200 people helped work on the artwork.
The glass-based mosaic features many homages to Butler’s history.
