Pennsylvania’s top law enforcement official has filed another lawsuit against a social media platform for actions involving young people.
After filing a suit against TikTok in Allegheny County earlier this month, Attorney General Dave Sunday has now filed a Complaint for Declaratory and Injunctive Relief filed this week in Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas against Snapchat.
The complaint alleges that Snapchat fails to warn users about addictiveness as well as lies about how often adult-themed material such as sexual content and nudity, suicidal ideation, and drug use appears on its platform to achieve an age-13+ app rating in App Stores.
Sunday is demanding the company take steps to protect child and teen users from becoming addicted to the app.
