Carolyn Beatty, 87, of Chicora, Pennsylvania, passed away on August 27, 2026, at Quality Life Services – Chicora.
She was born December 24, 1938, in Butler, Pennsylvania to Harold Eugene Beachem and Muren Minich.
Carolyn graduated from Butler High School in 1956. She attended Slippery Rock University and Butler Hospital and received an associate’s degree in Nursing. She worked as a Registered nurse her entire career for Butler Memorial Hospital before retiring in 1999. Everyone who met her loved her and she was known as “Beachie” around the hospital. After she retired, she moved to Florida to enjoy the sunshine. Carolyn enjoyed boating, skiing, and camping in her early days. She loved to read, and color, and was an expert at making latch hook rugs. Above all, Carolyn enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her two daughters, Stacy (Ray) Winslow of Parker, PA, and Pam (Greg) Hnat; four grandchildren: Matthew Moore, Alyssa (Bryan) Tobias, Kelly (Tyler) Walters, Daniel Gamble; three great-grandchildren: Brooks Tobias, Liliana Tobias, and Jemma Jo Walters; and a special niece, Tracy Collins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Terri Lynn Beatty, the father of her children, John O. Beatty Sr.; her sister Marlene and brother-in-law, Don Winters, and her brother, Eugene “Sonny” Beachem.
All services were held privately per the family’s wishes.
