The Pennsylvania Independent Fiscal Office has released projections for account balances for the next two years.
According to the IFO, the general fund balance for next year will $4.6 billion and the Rainy Day Fund will have $7.9 billion.
At an interest rate of 3.6 percent, the general fund will earn $221 million, while the Rainy Day Fund will receive $350 million, for total earnings of $571 million.
