A portion of Evans City Road is closed following a crash involving a school van this morning in Forward Township.
The multi-vehicle accident happened just after 10:30 a.m. on Evans City Road (Route 68) near the intersection with Oak Drive—which is about a mile east of Evans City.
Details are not clear on what caused the crash, but there were three vehicles involved.
Dispatchers say there were two students in the van, which was operated by First Student. An ambulance was called to evaluate the students; the driver of the van also suffered a shoulder injury in the crash.
Evans City Road is closed as crews clear the scene.
All three vehicles had to be towed.
