Butler County is taking steps to help protect information and stay up to date on new technology.
The county formed a new Information Governance and Oversight Committee to help provide collaboration on IT policies and constantly evolving technologies.
The county also updated its IT Policy Manual to include updates on artificial intelligence. Officials say the guidelines will help give employees an idea on how to use AI responsibly and protect county information.
Commissioners say the committee is a recommendation from the state-level.
