A Butler man accused of threatening people with a knife in the City of Butler earlier this year pled guilty to charges and was sentenced yesterday.
On May 7, police were called to the 100 block of South Cliff Street for 64-year-old Stephen Brennfleck threatening to kill people with a knife.
When officers arrived on scene, they found Brennfleck in a doorway near a knife. Victims identified Brennfleck as the suspect.
On Thursday, Brennfleck pled guilty to simple assault and terroristic threats. He was then sentenced to a maximum of 23 months and 15 days in prison, 24 months of probation, and 20 hours of community service.
He will also have to pay $3,216 in fines, fees, restitution, and cost of prosecution.
