New bipartisan legislation has been introduced in an effort to pass skill game regulations.
A proposed bill that would regulate skill games takes revenue and invests into statewide infrastructure as well as regulate skill game machines.
The proposal will include a $500 monthly fee per terminal and is projected to bring in hundreds of millions in projected revenue.
84 percent of the revenue gained from skill games will go towards roads, bridges, and public transportation, 15 percent would go towards Fire and EMS services, and one percent will go towards administrative costs.
The new regulations will include, statewide licensing, testing, monitoring, and enforcement, an age minimum of 21 with age verification, auditable records, video surveillance, self-exclusion program, and independent audits and tools for removing illegal machines.
The bill yet to be formally introduced is co-sponsored by both Democrats and Republicans.
