Nearly 500 Butler County residents are without power after another round of storms with strong winds and rain swept through the area Monday afternoon.
According to West Penn Power, the majority of those outages are in Adams, Connoquenessing, Forward, Jackson, and Middlesex Townships. Crews are out assessing the damage so no service restoration time estimates are available.
Beginning at 4 p.m. wires down were reported in Lancaster, Muddycreek, Summit, and Butler Townships, as well as Evans City Borough.
No additional flooding has been reported but several roads have been closed due to fallen trees so motorists are advised to use caution.
