Lucretia Lynn Miller Angert, 46, of Karns City passed away at her home at 7 a.m. on Sunday, July 30, 2017, with her loving husband and family by her side, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Lucretia was born in Butler on December 30, 1970. She was the daughter of Stephen F. Miller and Peggy D. Cumberland. Lucretia was a 1989 graduate of Karns City High School, and attended the Karns City United Methodist Church. She had an avid love of music and enjoyed playing the piano and singing.
Lucretia loved her “hippie” life, and enjoyed the company of her dog, “Jasper”. She also enjoyed fishing, her friends at AGI who adored her, and collecting turtles and frogs.
She had been employed as a housekeeper with Butler Home Healthcare.
Lucretia is survived by her husband, Stephen J. Angert, whom she married in Karns City on September 13, 2014; her son, Jonathan Koebler, of Karns City; her step-son, Michael S. Angert, of Nashville, TN; her parents, Stephen F. Miller and his wife Cindy Penrod, of Kane; her mother, Peggy D. Friend, and her husband, Raymond, of Chicora, two sisters, Paula C. Menteer, and her husband Casey, of Kane, and Stephanie Neeley, of Butler; two sisters-in-law, Marleen Bachman, and Darleen Angert; her brother-in-law, Christopher “Harry” Angert, all of Karns City; as well as a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, and many friends, including Nicole Rottman, Karen McBeth, and Shelley Barnhart.
Lucretia was preceded in death by her mother in-law and father-in-law, Raymond and Priscilla Angert, a brother-in-law, Daniel Angert, as well as her paternal and maternal grandparents.
A celebration of life and music for Lucretia will be held at a later date at the Angert home.
