Rev. Lawrence Gaius Dabill, 90, of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away on August 23, 2017 at the Baptist Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
He was born September 15, 1926 in Mattoon, Wisconsin to the late Floyd Newton Dabill and the late Mary Louise Nickel Dabill.
Rev. Dabill was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the US., Philippines, Korea and Panama. He was a member and an Associate Pastor of New Hope, Church of the Nazarene in Memphis, TN. Rev. Dabill was an ordained minister and pastored churches in Western Pennsylvania. He enjoyed walking, driving, reading and puzzles and especially spending time with his family.
He is survived by one son, Gary Dabill of Monessen, PA; two daughters, Barbara Kelley of Bartlett, TN, and Margaret Dabill of McAdoo, PA; six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; one brother, Joseph Dabill of Lakeland, FL; one sister Phoebe Showers of Sarasota, FL and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his, first wife, Wanda Dabill, who passed away on August 9, 1999 and also by his second wife, Irene J. Dabill who passed away December 1, 2013; four sisters and one brother.
Friends will be received Tuesday, August 29, 2017, 10 to12 pm at Thompson – Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street Butler, PA.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at 12:00 pm at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home Inc., 124 East North St. Butler, PA, with Pastor Leon Blaise, of First Nazarene Church, officiating.
Burial will take place in the Greenlawn Burial Estates.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Jesus Film Project (started by Campus Crusade for Christ), 100 Lake Hart Drive, Orlando, Florida.
