Local Catholic churches will hold up a special collection to benefit the victims of Hurricane Harvey.
Butler’s three city catholic parishes- St. Michael’s, St. Paul’s and St. Peter’s- will all hold collections on the weekend of Sept. 16 and 17. The effort is part of a nationwide collection sponsored by the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.
Donations will help provide shelter, clean water, food and medical care to victims…and help with long term recovery and rebuilding. Additional funds will help Catholic churches in Texas that were damaged.
