Elmina E. Facemire, 82, of Butler, passed away Monday, September 4, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospice, Cabot.
She was born December 23, 1934 in Jefferson Township, Butler County, the daughter of the late Albert and Mary (Welsh) Martsolf.
She was a member of Summit Presbyterian Church where she was a deacon and sang in the choir. She loved traveling with her daughters and experiencing new things. She loved bragging about her children and grandchildren and affected many people with her smile and laugh.
Surviving are her 3 daughters, Katherine (Warren) Goodwin of Hamilton, MA, Karen (James) Keffalas of Renfrew and Sharon (Andrew) Ervin of Gardner, PA; her son, Rex (Bernadette) Facemire of Butler; 17 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; her sister, Alice (Harry) Tayman of Butler; her 2 brothers, Albert (Nettie) Martsolf, Jr. and Alfred (Millie) Martsolf, all of Butler.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold Facemire whom she married August 2, 1952 and who passed away April 23, 2012; 2 sons, Edward Facemire and Wayne Facemire; 2 grandchildren, and 2 sisters, Margaret Dyer and Caroline Hay.
Friends will be received at Summit Presbyterian Church on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Summit United Presbyterian Church, 181 Caldwell Dr., Butler, PA from 3 PM until time of service at 4 PM with her pastor, Tom Jones officiating.
Interment in the Summit United Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
