Virginia Edith Boda, age 92, of Butler, passed away Monday, September 4, at Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot.
Born April 26, 1925 in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Victor G. Mancini and Mary Cioffi Mancini Tiberi.
She was a member of Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.
Virginia worked as a designer for Gordon Draperies in Houston, Texas, and as a salesperson for Associated Hardware in Butler.
She is survived by two sons, John Michael Boda, of Rosenburg, Texas and Robert Douglas Boda and his wife, Sandy, of West Sunbury; one daughter, Susan Dubea and her husband, Linton, of Harrisburg, North Carolina, two grandsons, Kenneth Boda and Douglas Boda; three great-grand-triplets, Coby, Peyton, and Micah Boda; one sister, Frances G. Guadagni and her husband Mario, of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. Boda, who passed away February 2, 2004; her stepfather, Frank Tiberi; two sisters, Gloria G. Catalfano and Dolores Botti; and three brothers, Victor G. Mancini, Jr., Ferdinand L. Mancino, and Joseph F. Mancino, Sr., who passed away on Sunday, September 3, just one day before Virginia.
Friends will be received in the Martin Funeral Home, Inc., 429 Center Avenue, Butler, on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11 a.m. from Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 432 Center Avenue, Butler.
Burial will take place in Saint Michael’s Cemetery.
The Bereavement Group of Saint Michael the Archangel Parish will meet at the funeral home on Thursday at 3 p.m. to conduct a Scriptural Wake Service.
