Gerald E. Hoehn, 80, of Butler, Pennsylvania, was peacefully taken from this earth on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 from Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot, PA.
He was born February 26, 1937 in Butler, Pennsylvania to the late George E Hoehn and Augusta L. Bachman Hoehn .
Gerald was a member of First English Lutheran Church. He worked as a brick layer in Masonry Department at Butler ARMCO for 41 years. Gerald was a member of Civil War Round Table and enjoyed various vehicles including a 1950 “Chevy”. He loved his garden and maintaining his home.
He was the beloved husband for 59 years of Nancy J Hoehn whom he married on February 15, 1958; three sons, James Philip Hoehn of Pittsburgh, PA, John Clark Hoehn and his wife Lisa of Butler, PA, and Paul Edgar Hoehn and his wife Dianna of Butler, PA; two daughters, Julia Kay Hoehn of Butler, PA, and Cara Ann Lapic and her husband Daniel of Freedom, PA; ten grandchildren, Stephanie Hoehn, James Hoehn, Erica Hoehn, Emily Veith and her husband Zachary, Megan Hoehn, Ashley Hoehn, Shayne Hoehn and wife Laci, Jenna Hoehn, Joshua Hoehn, Maizie Lapic; four great grandchildren, Wyatt Veith, Levi Hoehn, Connor Hoehn and Carli Hoehn; one brother, Edward G. Hoehn of Butler, PA; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William J. Hoehn, and Allen L. Hoehn.
Friends will be received Friday, October 6, 2017, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at Thompson – Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street Butler, PA.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2017, at 10:00 am at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home Inc., 124 East North St. Butler, PA, with Reverend Kinberly vanDriel of First English Lutheran Church, officiating.
Burial will take place in the Butler County Memorial Park.
