Eugenia “Jennie” Schultz, 96, of Butler, died Wednesday evening, October 4, 2017, at the Sunnyview Home.
Born August 18, 1921 in Penn Township, she was a daughter of the late Nicholas Swidzinski and Pauline Smidth Swidzinski.
Jennie was retired from the Diatery Department of the Butler Memorial Hospital. Previously she worked at Armco during World War II, the Spaide Shirt Factory and Bobbie Brooks.
She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler and was a lifetime member of the Butler Moose Lodge.
Surviving are her children: Kenneth (Dolly) Schultz of Butler; David (Jody) Schultz of Butler; Judith (Bob) O’Neill of Florida; Diane (William) Longstreth of Butler.
8 grandchildren: Ronald (Erin) Schultz of Landenberg, PA; Matthew (Jennifer) Schultz of Exton, PA; Kristy (Chad) Zinkhann of Butler; David Schultz of Butler; Elizabeth (Tom) Baughman of Zelienople; Warren Schultz of Butler; Samantha Longstreth of Butler; Nicole O’Neill of Florida.
9 great grandchildren: Jacob, Joelle and Julia Schultz of Exton, PA; Maggie and Emma Schultz of Landenberg, PA; River Zinkhann of Butler; Edward Baughman of Zelienople; Ajaidyn and Amani Balkasoon of Florida.
4 brothers: Adam, Louis, John and Carl Swidzinski, all of Butler.
2 sisters: Lucille Spohn of Maryland and Helen Dollman of Slippery Rock.
Numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; 5 brothers: Albert, Theodore, Stanley, Joseph and Frank Swidzinski.
Friends will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham Street, Butler, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 North McKean Street, Butler. The Rev. Harry Bielewicz, Pastor, will officiate. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum of Calvary Cemetery, Butler.
St. Pauls Catholic Women and Christian Mothers will meet at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Church to recite the Rosary.
