Margaret E. Nebel, 91, of Butler, died Wednesday morning, October 18, 2017, at the Sunnyview Home.
Born February 23, 1926 in Herman, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Tomsey and Mary Mega Tomsey.
She was a homemaker and previously worked at the Spaide Shirt Factory. She was a member of St. Mary of Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman, also the Christian Mothers of St. Mary’s and had enjoyed baking, canning, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are her 5 children: Dr. Thomas R. (Cecilia) Nebel, Dr. Donald A. (Josi) Nebel, David L. (Denise) Nebel, all of Butler; Dr. Stanley R. (Debra) Nebel of Franklin and Bernadette M. (James) Peduto of Glenshaw.
13 grandchildren: Jessica, Timothy, Daniel, Stephanie, Gabrielle, Cheyenne, Mickaela, Anthony, Dominic, Natalie, Anita, Victoria and Claire.
1 sister, Agnes Tomsey of Herman.
1 brother, Joseph (Joan) Tomsey of Herman.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph M. Nebel, whom she married May 30, 1950, he died January 27, 2011; 3 brothers Edward, John and Francis Tomsey; 1 sister Mary Nebel and an infant sister, Eveline.
Friends will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham Street, Butler, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman. Internment will follow in St. Mary’s Parish Cemetery.
