The Butler County Symphony Orchestra is continuing a program this week to educate area students about music appreciation.
Symphony Music Director Matthew Kraemer wrote and developed the educational materials for this year’s program titled “What Makes Music American?”
This 30 minute program will feature the works of composers like Aaron Copland and Leonard Bernstein as well as 25 musicians from the Butler County Symphony Orchestra and narration by Kraemer.
This assembly will be presented to students in the Butler, Slippery Rock, Karns City, and Mars School Districts through Friday at no charge. This is the fourth year of the program which is funded in part by community and business donations.
