The Butler Area School District has been awarded a grant to help with the recently started strategic planning process.
At their meeting Monday night, the school board approved receipt of a grant up to $9,500 from The Grable Foundation.
According to Superintendent Dr. Brian White, the money will be used to allow for strategic planning committee members to travel to regional locations in order to observe programs that could be used at Butler.
The trips will be taken between this Friday, Dec. 15 and June 15. At that time, the district will provide the Grable Foundation with reports on how the funds were used.
