Sherry J. McClaren, 84, of Butler, went to be with the Lord early Monday morning, January 8, 2018 at Saxony Health Center in Saxonburg.
Sherry was born in Pittsburgh on April 17, 1933. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John “Jack” Keller.
She graduated from Castle Shannon High School and attended beauty school. In her earlier years she had been employed as a hairstylist and in various nursing homes. She was later employed as a real estate agent with Re/Max and Northwood Realty. She enjoyed flower gardening, going for car rides, and the company of her grandchildren.
Surviving are four children, Sherrie Renee Ruth Lane and her husband, Robert, of Pittsburgh, Calvin James Ruth Jr. and his wife, Michele, Kimberly April Oberc and Raymond Kenneth Ruth, all of Butler; thirteen grandchildren, as well as a number of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Calvin J. Ruth Sr., her second husband, Carl “Red” McClaren; two daughters, Deidre Ruth Elder, Saundra Ruth, and a son, J. Scott Ruth, as well as two sisters and two brothers.
