A man was taken to the hospital early Thursday after being shot by police responding to a domestic dispute.
The incident happened about 6 a.m. at a home just south of the Butler County line- along Meridian Road in Richland Township, Allegheny County.
The Northern Regional Police Department told WPXI-TV that officers responded to the house for a violent domestic situation. When they got there, a man pointed a gun at police and an officer fired back.
Police shot the man, who was then taken to a local hospital. His condition is unknown.
A woman inside the home was also taken to a hospital for injuries she reportedly received during the domestic situation.
