Slippery Rock University is still looking for its next president.
The Presidential Search Committee has narrowed the list of candidates from 57 applicants down to 10, according to the school.
Those 10 candidates will receive off-site interviews with the Search Committee in the coming days before four or five candidates are selected to receive a second interview on campus.
SRU Trustee and Presidential Search Committee member Jeff Smith told our newsroom that the 10 candidates come from eight different states with degrees and experience from around the world.
Provost Philip Way has served as interim president of SRU since former President Dr. Cheryl Norton retired last July.
