Girls Basketball:
–Butler defeated St. Joseph’s 41-24. Alyssa Eyth led Butler with 17 points.
–AC Valley defeated Union 72-31. Kylee Eaton led the Lady Falcons with 22 points. Ellie Thompson added 18. AC Valley will visit Karns City tonight. A win will give them their first-ever KSAC-South title. The Falcons are 9-1 in conference-play, and 17-4 overall. Karns City enters tonight’s game 6-2 in the conference.
–Mars defeated Hampton 59-52.
–Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic defeated Knoch 42-31.
Boys Basketball:
–Moniteau defeated Cranberry 52-32. Gage Neal led three Moniteau players in double digits with 16.
–Butler will host Seneca Valley tonight at 7:30pm. Hear the game with Tyler Friel beginning at 7:20pm on WBUT 1050am.
–Knoch will visit Armstrong tonight. Tipoff is 7:30pm. Hear the game with Scott Briggs beginning at 7:15pm on WISR 680am.
Bowling:
–The Butler high school bowler split their match Thursday with North Allegheny at Perry Park Lanes. The Butler girls completed a perfect season with a 7-0 win over the Tigers. Senior Nicole Nebel rolled a 576 series with a high game of 210. Senior Ashley McCue added a 531 series.

The Butler boys lost their first match since December, 2015 with North Allegheny sweeping 7-0. Junior Jordan Reges led the Golden Tornado with a 647 series and high game of 245. Sophomore Chris Huff added a 590, with a high game of 219.

Both teams won the WPIBL North Section title. The girls finished the season with a match record of 10-0 and did not lose a single game. The boys finished 9-1 and win the section title via match points over N.A.
The boys will compete in the WPIBL Team championship next Wednesday (Feb 14th) at Wildlife Lanes in Lower Burrell. The girls will compete in the WPIBL Team championship next Thursday (Feb 15th) at Family Bowlaway in Butler. Both events begin at 3:30pm.
–Freeport swept Mars 7-0.
–Amstrong swept Kiski Area. The Armstrong boys won 4-3. The girls won 7-0.
Wrestling:
–The Seneca Valley wrestlers defeated Archbishop Wood 58-9 in the PIAA Class 3A Team championships Thursday. The Raiders will meet Spring Ford in the quarterfinals.
