The Pittsburgh Steelers have hired former Penn State defensive coordinator Tom Bradley as the new secondary coach. Head coach Mike Tomlin made the move to replace Carnell Lake who resigned Wednesday. Bradley had been an assistant under Jim Mora, Jr. who was fired by UCLA at the end of the 2017 season. The Steelers also hired Karl Dunbar as the defensive line coach. He will assume the duties of John Mitchell, who will remain as assistant head coach. Dunbar was defensive line coach at Alabama the past two years.
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garopplo agreed to a five-year, $137 million contract Thursday. The deal will average more than $27 million per season, making it the richest in NFL history. Garoppolo was a back-up to Tom Brady in New England, before a late-season trade.
