Mandi L. Metcalfe, 39, of Fairmont Rd., Chicora, went to be with the Lord and her parents late Friday morning, February 16, 2018 while surrounded by her loving husband and family at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Mandi was born in Kittanning on March 27, 1978. She was the daughter of the late Terry L. and Frances M. Rattigan McElroy.
Mandi was a 1996 graduate of Karns City Area High School and a member of the Karns City United Methodist Church. She enjoyed sports, bowling and most especially watching her son Mallick play ball.
Mandi was employed as a paraprofessional with the Butler Area School District at the Center Avenue Community School.
She is survived by her husband, Michael D. Metcalfe, whom she married in Karns City on September 28, 2002. Also surviving is her son, Mallick M. Metcalfe, at home; two sisters, Rachel L. Kuhns and her husband, Steve and Dana M. Brewer and her husband, Joe, all of Chicora; her father-in-law, William Metcalfe of Elwood City; ten nieces and nephews, Darrin, Lauren, Kirsten, Draedan, Mickala, Harper, Jim, Jessica, Jackie, and Michael; two great nieces, two brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law, as well as a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Barbara Metcalfe.
Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home of Chicora, 339 Chicora Fenelton Rd., Chicora, from 2 – 4 and 6 – 9 p.m. Monday (today). A funeral service will be held from the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Jim Lewis, pastor of the Karns City United Methodist Church, officiating.
