A local cable provider has partnered with Showtime to air a documentary on the opioid epidemic.
Armstrong and Showtime have agreed to make the five-part series titled ‘The Trade’ available on the Armstrong On Demand platform to all video customers. This is the first time in Showtime history that it has provided a full series free to non-subscribers.
‘The Trade’ takes the viewer deeper into the story of those affected by the opioid crisis.
“Some of the communities that Armstrong serves are among the most affected areas in the country,” Dave Wittmann, Vice President of Marketing for Armstrong, said. “We felt it was part of our responsibility to help share this with all of our customers.”
To view the series, access the Armstrong On Demand library, select the Free Programs folder and find the series under Showtime Freeview.

Armstrong provides television, high-speed internet and telephone service to residential and commercial customers in Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky, and Maryland, and is America’s 11th largest cable television provider, according to SNL Kagan, an offering from S&P Global Market Intelligence.
