The Butler County Community College women’s softball team swept a season-opening doubleheader from Westmoreland County Community College Monday. The Lady Pioneers won game one 16-1 and game two 9-1. Knoch graduate Jessi Reed won both games with a total of 11 strikeouts and two walks. She had five hits with four RBI’s at the plate. Moniteau graduate Alyssa Dailey had four hits and scored five runs. Karns City graduate Ashley Coon had a home run among two extra-base hits. She scored four times and drove in four.
