The Butler Area School District is launching a new program to encourage reading this summer but help is needed now from the public to get it up and running.
‘The BookStop’ is a vehicle loaded with books that will drive though different areas of the district this summer giving free books to kids.
In order to make this effort possible, the district is currently holding a book drive at all schools and the central office through Friday, April 20.
Anyone looking to pass along new or gently used books for kids pre-school through 12 years old is asked to donate to this initiative.
