Paul L. Kimmel, 90, of West Sunbury, Pennsylvania, passed away on April 15, 2018 at the VA Butler Healthcare Center.
He was born November 28, 1927 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late George L. Kimmel and the late Clara Alberter Kimmel.
Paul was a veteran of the United States Navy serving in World War II, he was stationed in Guam with the rank of Seaman First Class. He and his wife developed, owned and operated Peaceful Valley Campground from 1969 to 1989. Paul also worked as a ceramic tile installer for Gray Flooring in Pittsburgh.
He is survived by four sons, David Kimmel of Penn Valley, CA, Michael Kimmel of Butler, PA, Richard Kimmel and his wife Allyson of Springfield, VA and Daniel Kimmel and his Dawna of West Sunbury, PA; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two sisters, Roma Myers of Pittsburgh, PA, and Anna Mae Hayden of GA; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth M.Kimmel whom he married on May 29,1958 and who passed away on November 11, 2013; four brothers, and one sister.
At his request there will be no public visitation.
Private funeral services were held at the Chapel of Devotion Mausoleum at Butler County Memorial Park.
Private burial took place at Butler County Memorial Park.
