Garnet L. Kriley, 86, of Butler, died Sunday, April 22, 2018, at the Saxony Health Center.
Born November 15, 1931 in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Charles Hinchberger and Amanda (Hickey) Hinchberger.
She was a homemaker and previously had worked at the Peggy Lou Bakery before marriage and also in the Cafeteria at the Butler Junior High School and St. Mary’s School. She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman and enjoyed square dancing.
Surviving are sons, Patrick (Elizabeth) Kriley of Cherry Valley and Douglas (Tina) Kriley of Butler.
4 daughters: Deanna (Rick) Cetti of Butler; Darla Lovich of Butler; Denise (Edward) Knauff of Zelienople; Dawn (Ted) Birckbichler of Butler.
15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
1 sister, Alene Sankey of Butler.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wendelin J. “Winnie” Kriley, whom she married August 24, 1949, he died October 25, 2012; 2 great grandsons, 3 brothers, 4 sisters, 1 half brother and 1 half sister.
Friends will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham Street, Butler, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman. The Rev. Ward Stakem, Pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Parish Cemetery.
