Adrian J. “AJ” Kriley, 84, of Butler, PA, passed away on May 23, 2018 at the Community Living Center at Butler VA Healthcare .
He was born October 15, 1933 in Jefferson Twp, Pennsylvania to the late John J. Kriley and the late Marie F. Gillispie Kriley.
Adrian worked for Armco – Silicon MTC for 36 years before retiring in April 1993. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. Adrian was a member of the American Legion, Strikes & Spares Bowling League, and Konostones Bowling League. He enjoyed golf and bowling. Adrian liked watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Pirates.
Adrian is survived by his wife Patricia, who he married on August 21, 1953; two sons, Mark A. Kriley of Butler, PA, Phillip A. (Robin) Kriley of Renfrew, PA; one daughter, Darla S. (Donald) Helms of Columbia, SC; three grandchildren, Jennifer L (Sean) Branham of Columbia, SC, Martha R Kriley of Pasadena, CA, LTJG Andrew P. (Brianna) Kriley of Oak Harbor, WA two great-grandchildren, Parker Branham, Adrian Branham; two step grandchildren, Liesel and Eric; two brothers, Father Victor Kriley of Saxonburg, PA, John A Kriley of Butler, PA; six sisters, Helen Grenci of Butler, PA, Aline Goodrich of Bradenton, FL, Mary M. (James) Carbin of Saxonburg, PA, Pearl I. Kocher of Butler, PA, Sister Francis M Kriley, CDP, Rita R. (Don) Snyder of Sarver, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is proceeded in death by two brothers, Leonard J. Kriley, Floyd Kriley and one infant sister.
Friends will be received Friday, May 25, 2018, 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Thompson – Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street Butler, PA.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 26, 2018, 12:00 pm at the St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, 127 Franklin Street, Butler, PA, with Father Harry R. Bielewicz, celebrant.
Officers and members of the American Legion Post #117 of Butler, American Legion Post #778 of Lyndora, and VFW Post #249 of Butler will conduct a graveside military honors service at Butler County Memorial Park on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at 11:00 a.m..
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the VNA Inpatient Hospice, 115 Technology Dr., Butler, PA 16001.
