Harold E. Bolten, 90, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on Wednesday May 30, 2018 at the Butler Memorial Hospital.
He was born September 29, 1927 in Mars, Pennsylvania to the late Fred Bolten and the late Minda Goerhing Bolten.
Harold was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korean War. He was a machinist at Spang and Company and Chick Machine Company. Harold was a former member of Calvary Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed camping, playing cards and especially spending time with his family.
He is survived by his daughter, Kathy Travers of Southbridge, MA; three grandchildren, April Travers of MA, Matthew Travers of MA, and Andrew Bolten of GA; one brother, Crawford Bolten and his wife Bonnie of Butler, PA; one sister, Geneva Thompson of FL; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth Scott Bolten who passed away on January 12, 2010, one son, Frederick H. Bolten, one brother,and one sister.
Friends will be received Sunday, June 3, 2018, from 1 to 3 pm at Thompson – Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street Butler, PA. Funeral services will be held immediately following at the funeral home with Pastor Michael Charles, Retired Pastor of Portersville Bible Church officiating.
Burial will take place Monday, June 4, 2018 in the Greenlawn Burial Estates.
Officers and members of the American Legion Post #117 of Butler, American Legion Post #778 of Lyndora, and VFW Post #249 of Butler will conduct military honors at Greenlawn Burial Estates Chapel on Monday, June 4, 2018 at 1:00 p..m..
