Donald Grant Winters, 85, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on June 11, 2018 at the VA Butler Healthcare.
He was born February 17, 1933 in Butler, Pennsylvania to the late William A. Winters and the late Gladys McGrody Winters.
Donald worked as a Civil Engineer Tech, Inspector, and a Draftsman for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He retired in 1988 after 34 years of service. Donald was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Korean War. He was a member of North Street Christian Church. Where he also served as a deacon and trustee.
Donald is survived by his wife, Marlene J. Winters, whom he married on December 20, 1958, one son, Grant (Cyndee) Winters of Mars, PA; one daughter, Tracy (Dave) Collins of Butler, PA; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
Per his wishes, there will be no public visitation.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2018, 10:30 am at the North Street Christian Church, 220 West North Street Butler, PA, with Pastor Robert C. Huber, officiating.
Memorials are suggested to the donor’s favorite charity.
