Joseph F. Truman, 80, of Grove City formerly of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at the Grove City Medical Center.
He was born January 5, 1938 in Butler, Pennsylvania to the late Charles Truman and the late Margaret Moser Truman.
Joseph worked at the Metal Shop as an Electrical Engineer for AK Steel. He was a Past Master of #694 Victory Lodge F and A M, and a Masonic Templar. Joseph was a master of many things; liked to take things apart and putting them back together making it his own. He loved the water, camping, fishing, water and spending time at the cabin in Erie. He was Protestant by faith.
He is survived by his daughter, Debbie Bowser of Lyndora, PA; one son, Daniel (Melissa) Truman of Slippery Rock, PA four grandchildren, Raechul Ouellette, Rebecca Bower, Tyler Truman, and Dylan Truman,; two sisters, Margaret Truman Daniels Rossman of Melbourne, FL, and Eva Kay Huff Truman Huff Durant of UT; long time companion, Linda Wolfe of Grove City, PA and her extended family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in by father, his infant son, David Truman; one brother, Robert “Bobby” Truman one son-in-law, Thomas Bowser, Jr.
Friends will be received at Thompson – Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street Butler, PA on Friday, June 29, from 3:00 to 7:00 p,m
Members of #694 Victory Lodge F and A M will conduct a service a the Funeral Home on Friday, June 29, 2018 at 6:00 pm
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 11:30 am the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home Inc., 124 East North St. Butler, PA, with Pastor Brady Randall, officiating.
Private burial will take place in North Side Cemetery at a later date.
