Lucille Margaret Edmiston, 92, of Cabot, formerly of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on January 6, 2019 at the Concordia Lutheran Ministries.
She was born April 19, 1926 in Franklin, Pennsylvania to the late Lewis Ferson and the late Celia Naugle Ferson Mangel.
Mrs. Edmiston was a member of Community Alliance Church. She served as a volunteer at Butler Memorial Hospital for many years. Lucille enjoyed baking, crafting, reading, and word search puzzles.
She is survived by her four sons, Terry L. (Tina) Edmiston of Butler, PA, Lewis E. (Sandy) Edmiston of Riverview, FL, Billy L. Edmiston of Butler, PA, and Bruce (Donna) Edmiston of Butler, PA; one daughter, Peggy Louise Stewart of Butler, PA; eleven grandchildren, Jenny, Jason, Brandis, Jennifer, Jeff, Samantha, Lisa, Eric, Erin, Kristina, and Ryan; fourteen great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Willliam E. Edmiston, who passed away on October 22, 1992.
Friends will be received Wednesday, January 9, 2019 from 2 to 5 pm at Thompson – Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street Butler, PA.
Funeral services will be held immediately following at 5 pm the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home Inc., with Pastor Robert Edmunson, officiating.
Private Burial will take place in the Butler County Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Butler Area Public Library, 218 N. McKean St., Butler, PA 16001.
